School of Information Studies

Beta Phi Mu, the Library and Information Studies International Honor Society, was founded in 1948, with the headquarters housed in the School of Information Studies at The Florida State University. In 1957, the School of Information Studies founded the Gamma Chapter representing local members. Graduate students are invited to join once a year based on a 3.75 GPA and ranking in the top twenty-five percent (25%) of that year's graduating class.
